Inherited senseless

My dad doesn't really have a sensible line of though. I'll explain in topics:

First: Everything is fine.
Second: Dad thinks we're spending too much.
Third: He demmands cancelling some services.
Forth: I spend some hours in the phone making to cancel the services.
Fifth: It takes a couple of weeks to definately make the change.
Sixth: They call my dad offering some other services.
Seventh: Dad approves those services.

Services = cable tv and ip phone.

And of course, he gave me life and raised me. I've been taking many of his actions as examples of what I shouldn't do. But if I learn what I shouldn't do, how am I supposed to learn what I should do?
